Battery solutions should be developed to fit your application exactly. Therefore, work together with a reliable partner already in the development of your application.
The development of a battery pack is a complex process with many facets. With Jauch, you have an experienced and reliable partner at your side. Active in the industry since 1976, we develop customized battery packs for customers around the globe.
Together with you, we analyze the requirements of your project in detail to find the perfect battery. We develop the housing as well as the battery electronics – from simple protective circuits up to complex battery management systems for smart batteries, everything is possible.
UN 38.3, IEC 62133, UL 2054, KC - a multitude of international regulations apply to the approval of newly developed battery packs. With us, you never lose the overview! We perform all relevant tests for you and take care of the required certifications.
It's a long way from the idea to series production. Our experienced engineers are at your side from the very first step on. Battery, housing, and connector - everything is designed according to your needs. Prototypes and samples of your pack are assembled directly on site and subjected to extensive tests at our own Jauch-test center.
We take care of every detail of your battery pack. Please find a detailed overview of our services below.
Which currents are necessary? What is the targeted runtime? How much space is available for the battery pack and what voltage is required? External influences such as ambient temperature as well as shock and vibration must be considered as well.
Together with you, we analyze the requirements of your application and define the key data for your battery pack.
There are countless different types of battery cells, all of them with different characteristics. Thanks to long-standing, personal relationships with various cell manufacturers, we can offer you an exceptionally large cell portfolio – and thus find the optimal cell for you.
All cells are manufactured in modern, highly automated production facilities. The plants are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 13485.
Once the cell has been selected, the design of the battery pack and housing follows. Which plastic is used for the housing? Will the housing be screwed, glued or welded? We find the optimal answers for your application and produce the corresponding 3D and 2D drawings.
Each battery pack is equipped with a protection circuit (PCM) as standard. Depending on the complexity of your battery pack, a suitable battery management system will be programmed. If required, an intelligent communication interface to your application will also be added.
Prototypes, samples and small series of your battery pack are manufactured directly on our premises in Germany. This not only saves time but also allows maximum flexibility. Our DIN EN ISO 9001 certification guarantees consistently high manufacturing quality.
Additionally, you benefit from the many years of experience of our specialists in production and quality assurance.
Extensive testing is crucial for successful development. That’s why we rely on our own in-house test laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art machines: from temperature shock chambers to altitude simulators. In addition, your battery pack is subjected to charge and discharge tests. The pack's reaction to external shocks and vibrations is examined, too.
We carry out all individual tests according to UN 38.3 ourselves and can issue corresponding test certificates for you.
The development of a battery pack is not only a technical issue, but also a regulatory one. Battery-powered products are subject to numerous safety standards such as IEC 62133 or UL 2054, and many others. In fact, there are several major differences depending on the country or continent. We keep track of them all and take care of all the details for you.
In our test laboratory, we can carry out most of the required tests ourselves in advance. We also take care of the coordination with the inspecting authorities.
Once development has been successfully completed, series production begins in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 - this guarantees the highest manufacturing quality.
Furthermore, our modern ERP system ensures complete traceability of every single component of your battery pack.
Lithium batteries are classified as dangerous goods and require special knowledge in terms of handling and transport. Our employees are regularly trained and ensure that your battery packs reach their destination safely.
Of course, we will be happy to advise you on all questions regarding transport and storage. Extensive in-house or online training is also available.
Jauch offers a variety of reliable technological solutions: Lithium ion or lithium polymer batteries, single-cell batteries or multi-cell battery packs, simple electronic protection circuits or intelligent batteries with programmable battery management systems.
Programmable ICs and fuel gauge allow communication with the application and/or the charger, filling level indication and error memory.
Larger capacity packs with protective cell balancing.
Cells in different sizes and different harness variations are available from stock.
Made with connectors and NTC for temperature monitoring. Large selection of 18650 round cells available from stock.
We offer our customers training on lithium technology and the correct handling of lithium batteries, tailored to their specific needs.
Since 2019 we have been offering various battery seminars in our own training center, the Jauch Battery Academy. Battery experts, who have been handling batteries daily for many years, pass on their knowledge to our seminar participants. Battery users, from engineering, purchasing, marketing and sales, learn the most important things about the production and technology of a cell, electronics, logistics and transport issues, as well as certification and the increasingly important safety aspects.
For the implementation of your battery project and the development of the optimal battery solution for your application, our qualified development team at the Jauch headquarters is at your side.
