MEMS DIFFERENTIAL OSCILLATORS

These differential MEMS oscillators with LVPECL, LVDS, or HCSL output drivers are available in the industry’s smallest differential package with form-factors down to 2 x 1.6 mm. They also feature a unique FlexSwing™ driver that performs like LVPECL but with independent control of VOH- and VOL-levels to simplify interfacing with chipsets having non-standard input-voltage requirements. Furthermore, these differential oscillators offer a low jitter down to 70 fs RMS.

These high-performance differential oscillators are ideal for optical modules, networking, server, storage, and telecom applications, as they offer low jitter as well as excellent immunity versus power supply noise (PSNR) and environmental hazards such as shock, vibration or EMI.

Description

This differential oscillator supports the most commonly used network frequencies from 25 MHz to 644.53125 MHz. The oscillator is characterised by an RMS jitter of 70 fs (typ.), excellent immunity to power supply noise and environmental influences. Available in package sizes from 3.2 x 2.5 mm down to 2.0 x 1.6 mm in an extended temperature range of up to 105 °C.

The device offers common output drivers for LVPECL, LVDS, HCSL and low-power HCSL with integrated termination resistors. It also features a unique FlexSwing™ driver that works like LVPECL but with independent control of VOH- and VOL-levels to simplify interfacing to chipsets with non-standard input voltage requirements.
