The apprentices and students of Jauch Quartz GmbH from Schwenningen were able to raise a total of 1,200 euros at an internal company Christmas sale. This donation was handed over to the ProKids Foundation from Villingen-Schwenningen with great pleasure.
"Happiness is the only thing that doubles when you share it." - Albert Schweizer
In line with this motto, the apprentices and students launched a trainee project with the aim of supporting social projects in the region. It was quickly decided that the donations should go to the ProKids Foundation.
The implementation of this project started immediately after the summer break. The team planned an in-house sale in the Advent season. Things got underway at the end of September and Christmas decorations were made, cookies were baked and the sale was planned.
On 06.12.23 the time had come and the apprentices and students sold waffles, punch, mulled wine and cookies as well as all the decorations they had made themselves. The Christmas event was also a great opportunity for Jauch colleagues to come together in the canteen and get into the Christmas spirit.
The sale was a complete success
The sale raised a total of 1,200 euros in donations. The apprentices and students at Jauch Quartz GmbH decided to support the ProKids Foundation from Villingen-Schwenningen. This donation will be used to support children and families from the region.
"I am very pleased that young people are starting such a campaign of their own accord to support social projects. The donation will be able to support some of our projects," says Joachim Spitz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the ProKids-Stiftung VS.
The ProKids Foundation supports many different projects. Among other things, it ensures that children receive a warm lunch or that over 300 wishes are fulfilled every year at Christmas through Christmas wish campaigns for children. They also offer homework supervision and sport should not be neglected for the kids. There is the fight for your life club and a street workout park.
There are also various support programs for parents and especially for young single parents. There is a parents' café where parents can exchange ideas and make contacts. One of the most important projects that the foundation launched a few years ago is the baby hatch in the Franziskusheim in Schwenningen.
However, Joachim Spitz is not the only one who is delighted with the commitment of the Jauch apprentices and students: "We are really proud of our apprentices and students who show so much initiative and organize a great project to then donate all the proceeds to a regional organization," says Timo Schmidt, Chief Operating Officer at Jauch Quartz GmbH.
