IEC certification: Jauch Quartz is certified as Customer Test Facility (CTF)

Jauch Quartz has recently received the status of "CTF". This stands for "Customer Test Facility" and contains the authorization to carry out the tests for IEC certification at the site in Villingen-Schwenningen. As a result, the certification process can be carried out more quickly.

Certification according to IEC62133-2:2017 is relevant for the international sale of batteries. The standards cover both cells and batteries and define the requirements for their testing and technical documentation. Various tests must be carried out and passed in this context.

As a CTF, Jauch can now carry out these tests independently in the testing laboratory in Villingen-Schwenningen. The corresponding certificate is then issued by a CB-accredited test laboratory and – as before – has almost worldwide validity.

Customers benefit in different ways from carrying out the tests with Jauch. On the one hand, the company can set priorities. On the other hand, the test run can be realized in a shorter timeframe. Furthermore, some of the tests required for IEC certification are also relevant for the UN 38.3 transport test. Here, too, Jauch supports its customers.
