Jauch Quartz introduces a new series of temperature-compensated crystal oscillators and their voltage-controlled version. The devices offer Stratum 3 compliant short-term and long-term stability, making them suitable for use in demanding environments. All versions feature a free-run stability of ±4.6 parts per million (ppm) over 20 years and frequency stability of ±0.28 ppm in the extended temperature range up to +105°C.
In addition, this series of (VC)TCXOs features an excellent 24-hour holdover stability of ±0.37 ppm max and superior Allen deviation (ADEV) of 0.1 parts per billion (ppb) typ. / 0.2 ppb max. at an averaging time of 1 second.

The JTS75HC(V) and JTS53HC(V) versions even provide exceptional frequency stability of up to ±50 ppb to advantageously ease the task of the tight budget for allowed frequency error. These two versions also come with an HCMOS-compatible output, while the smaller JTS32CS(V) version has a clipped sine output.
Both the JTS75HC(V) and JTS53HC(V) are compliant with ITU-T G.8262 Option 1 & 2, Telcordia GR-1244 Core Stratum 3 and GR-253-Core standards. These features make the new Jauch (VC)TCXO series suitable for use in high data rate, low latency communications networks such as SONET, SDH, SERDES, GSM, CDMA, 4G and 5G wireless, Gigabit Ethernet, and 10G and 40G systems or IEEE1588 ordinary, boundary and transparent clocks.
For the physical layer frequency support as a backup for PTP, Stratum 3-compliant (VC)TCXOs can be used in SyncE nodes to increase the resiliency of a synchronized network. For power-sensitive systems such as NICs for PTP networks, these (VC)TCXOs offer an advantage over similarly specified oven-controlled oscillators due to their low supply current of only a few mA.
Further applications are precision GNSS systems as well as GPS disciplined oscillators or test and measurement systems.
