Battery holders are available for a variety of different cells. Contact is made with SMD and solder pins. The advantages of using battery holders are

  • Easy to insert / replace the battery
  • Secure battery retention due to snap mechanism
  • Clear separation of the contacts
  • Short-circuit resistant
  • Protection against reversed polarity
  • Leakage current safe
  • Solid construction

The holders are made of high-quality materials, the synthetic parts are usually UL94V-0. Secure print mounting through additional positioning pins. Wave soldering is optional depending on the design. The battery contacts are made of nickel 99.6 DIN 17740. Holders with gold-plated contacts are available as well. The pins are pre-tinned.
