Jauch at electronica 2024: Focus on medical technology, automotive industry, and safety

From November 12-15, 2024, Jauch will once again be present at electronica, the world's leading electronics trade fair, in Munich. A key highlight will be the various application examples that showcase the versatility of Jauch's components:

> Medical technology: Jauch will present a reliable lithium polymer battery designed to power epilepsy detection devices during sleep.
> Automotive industry: High-precision quartz crystals from the frequency product range that support a sophisticated tire pressure monitoring system will be on display.
> Safety: A durable lithium iron phosphate battery, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 260°C, for use in thermal imaging cameras for firefighters.

diverse product range:

Jauch will also showcase “high temperature” button cells, including the CR2032HT, CR2050HT, and CR2450HT series, which are suitable for extreme temperature environments, such as automotive applications up to 125°C.

The lithium iron phosphate batteries are known for their high cycle stability, excellent performance, and long lifespan, making them a safer, lighter alternative to traditional lead batteries.

Testing and certification center: complex services from a single source

Jauch's new testing and certification center for cells and batteries will also be featured at the trade fair. The centre handles tests for the UN38.3 transport test and the IEC62133 safety standards, issuing certifications directly from Jauch. Further tests can be carried out in cooperation with accredited test laboratories (UL, PSE, KC and CCC). Located in Villingen-Schwenningen, the center is recognized as a "customer test facility," allowing Jauch to serve as the primary contact for testing and certification.

MEMS programming service: High flexibility in development

At electronica, Jauch will explain its MEMS oscillator programming service, offered as a strategic partner of SiTime. MEMS oscillators are increasingly important in electronics due to the growing demand for smaller sizes, higher precision, and greater long-term and temperature stability.
Additionally, Jauch will present temperature-compensated quartz oscillators (TCXOs) and their voltage-controlled versions (VCTCXO), which boast impressive frequency stability of ±50 parts per billion (ppb) and a wide temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. These components are available in three standard surface-mount packages: 7.0 x 5.0 mm, 5.0 x 3.2 mm, and 3.2 x 2.5 mm.
