The visit focused on key topics related to the company’s and industry’s economic development. A major point of discussion was the recruitment and retention of skilled workers in the region. The management emphasized the importance of the corporate values developed together with employees, which are crucial for long-term employee retention. These ten values, such as gratitude, responsibility, and respect, are deeply embedded in the company’s culture and are symbolically represented in the company building. They form a central pillar of the company’s management approach.
Sustainability was another important topic of discussion. The management explained that medium-sized companies face increasing demands from politics and business. Jauch is proactively addressing these challenges and sees them as opportunities to optimize internal processes and differentiate from competitors. However, transitioning to more sustainable practices requires significant investment and human resources.
Thorsten Frei was impressed by the company’s development and corporate culture but stressed that companies should not be burdened by excessive bureaucracy to remain competitive.
“A government must provide guard rails within which companies can develop freely. We will not be successful with bans and more and more restrictions” Frei also echoed Eberhard Heiser, Chief Strategy Officer at Jauch, who emphasized that openness to technology has been key to the country’s success.
In 2023, Jauch Quartz GmbH supplied over 200 million components, frequency-contributing products, and batteries to 62 countries worldwide. To continue serving international corporations, the company is continuously working to meet global sustainability standards. The family-run company aims to achieve EcoVadis certification as the next major step, marking further progress on the path towards ecological and social sustainability as well as responsible corporate management.
