Jauch presents two new designs in the lithium-ion round cell portfolio: LI18650 and LI21700

Jauch is expanding its range of high-performance lithium ion round cells with two new designs: LI18650 and LI21700. These new cells are ideal for medical technology, power tools and industrial applications.

The new cells offer high capacity, high discharge current and optimized cycle life. Their low self-discharge allows for long-term storage, while their high energy density ensures outstanding performance in a compact design.

Security features at the highest level

Safety is the top priority at Jauch: all new lithium cells have been tested in accordance with UN38.3 and are IEC and UL certified. Additionally, all cells are equipped with an integrated protection mechanism called a current interrupt device (CID), which interrupts the charging/ discharging of the cell in the event of incorrect handling. This ensures increased operational safety in demanding environments.

Technical details of the new series

The LI18650 and LI21700 cells are available in “Power Series” (P) and “Energy Series” (E) versions:

• Power Series (P): Cells with a high discharge rate and low internal resistance for applications where high currents are required in the short term. They are ideal for high-performance applications such as power tools and garden equipment.
• Energy Series (E): These cells are characterized by a particularly high capacity, cycle stability and long service life. They are designed for sustainable and economical use and are therefore ideal for durable devices such as medical equipment and industrial applications.

• LI18650JD-25P, LI18650JD-26E, LI18650JD-29E, LI18650JD-30P, LI18650JD-35E
• LI21700JD-40P, LI21700JD-50E
